To build an egalitarian society where accountability, transparency, and good governance are the bedrock of leadership, which fosters sustainable development and equitable opportunities for all Nigerian citizens irrespective of religion, ethnicity, creed, or political affiliations.
The United Patriotic League Of Upright Citizens is a non-ethnic, non-religion and non-political (completely apolitical) based organization who places priority in our ‘Nigerian-ness’ (country first) before anything else.
The United Patriotic League Of Upright Citizens (TUPLUC) as a movement of Nigerians, for Nigerians and by Nigerians; has a vision, amongst other things, is to birth and build a new Nigeria of our dreams; a Nigeria that portrays the ideals/vision of our founding fathers; a Nigeria that is for all Nigerians; a Nigeria which all Nigerians will be proud to call home; a Nigeria where all citizens are equal before the law, and given equal opportunities regardless of their ethnicities, religions, and political affinity in a corruption free society.
Furthermore, it’s vision is to develop a Nigeria where everything works for the betterment and benefit of all citizens; a Nigeria where citizens will stop seeking greener pastures in other countries but will join hands together in building a country which all Nigerian citizens shall be proud of.
The United Patriotic League Of Upright Citizens is non-violent movement; a pro-government partnering organization with sworn allegiance to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and complete fidelity to the Nigerian flag.
To promote and instill principles of accountability, transparency, and good governance and by empowering citizens, advocating systems reforms, and holding our citizens and leaders to account in ethical standards, democratic values, uprightness, and good citizenship.
1. To enhance public awareness and engagement in humanitarian services and democratic processes.
2. To promote ethical leadership and integrity in public office and citizens conducts.
3. To advocate and support policies, humanitarian services, and best practices that benefits TUPUC members who will in turn champion programs that will benefit the disadvantaged in the Nigeria society, and to also engender transparency and accountability in governance and by extension all facet of the society.
4. To build a coalition of citizens, civil society organizations, donor organizations, and other stakeholders who supports democratically elected governments who are committed to good governance; meet the needs of citizens especially the downtrodden in the society. To build a new league of upright, honest and dedicated citizens who will patriotically place ‘Country First’ in all they do as Nigerians, which will culminate in rebuilding the new Nigeria of our dreams – a country where everything works; a country we will proudly call our home.
1. TUPLUC humanitarian outreach programs shall be held periodically by each TUPUC’s chapter to directly and positively benefit and impact the lives of Nigerians in the fight against hunger, poverty, by organizing free medical outreaches in communities where TUPUC operates; free distribution of foods items, free distribution of educational materials to schools, and other outreaches to benefit the downtrodden and disadvantaged in the society.
2. Public Awareness:
TUPLUC will conduct regular campaigns, synposiums, workshops, and seminars to educate citizens on the importance of accountability, transparency, citizens rights, citizens responsibilities and good governance in Nigeria.
3. Leadership Training:
TUPLUC shall develop and implement leadership training programs for young leaders and public officials focusing on ethical standards and effective governance in Nigeria.
4. Policy Advocacy:
TUPUC will engage with policymakers to advocate for laws and policies that enhance transparency and accountability in public administration in Nigeria.
5. Monitoring and Reporting:
TUPLUC will establish a robust system for monitoring government activities and reporting instances of corruption, mismanagement, and abuse of power in governance in Nigeria.
6. Community Engagement: TUPLUC will foster community-level initiatives that promote participatory governance and empower local communities to hold their leaders accountable.
7. Collaboration:
TUPUC will build partnerships with national and international organizations to share best practices and resources for promoting good governance in Nigeria.
8. Research and Publication:
TUPUC will conduct research on governance issues and publish findings to inform public debate and policymaking.
9. Legal Support:
TUPUC will provide legal assistance and support to members, whistleblowers and victims of corruption and poor governance in Nigeria.
